10 x 12 or 10 x 14 Pool Shed?

One of my dreams is to have a backyard pool house/tiki bar ... One of these days, I'll make it happen. Of course, I'll need a pool, first ...

Trying to modify a shed kit into a bar/pool shed. Looking to have refrigerator inside with large opening next to door for counter to fold out. Any base kits for me to modify. Probably about 10X12 or 10X14.

It's hard to know which kits to recommend without knowing the architectural style of the main house. Generally speaking, you'll want the structure to look like a pool house, not a shed. A post and beam kit could be the way to go, but you're not likely to find many locally ... unless you happen to live in New England.

Much will depend on your locale. The typical backyard shed you'll find sitting on the lot or at the home improvement store won't be well suited for use as a pool house bar. Low ceiling heights are the biggest rub (or bump, should you whack your head on a rafter).

The best bet may be to find a good set of plans that gets you the look you want and make any necessary modifications along the way. With the economy in the state it's in, there's a good chance that there are local carpenters looking to pick up a small project like this.
