The frame of the tiki hut's roof was built in three sections using 2x2 cedar. The 4x4 foot thatch rain cape panels were attached with poly twine. Once the roof was complete, it was mounted on the 4x4 cedar posts and bamboo poles were slid in between the thatch and cedar frame. Here's the center of the roof. The weight of the thatch holds the bamboo poles in place ...
