August 20, 2003it's the dog days of august... and I finally got off my duff and started blogging. I looked around at a bunch of different blogging software and quickly decided on Moveable Type (since that's what most of my pals are using ... hey, it's not peer pressure, honest!). I'm wondering whether I'll convert other parts of my website to a blog format. My D-I-Y shed and barn building pages might be a good candidate, but I dunno ... So, Big Daddy Geekbooks, what have you been up to all summer? Well ... in the late spring, I penned a backyard shed and barn building guide in ebook form. It's been an interesting experiment in self-publishing. I'll write more about how the ebook came to be in a later post. I'm currently working on a very cool book for Sybex. It's taking a while to get rolling but it's an awesome subject. I can't spill any beans now, but I will, just as soon as I can. On the amusement front, we've been fortunate to have caught a bunch of Springsteen shows at Giants Stadium. Yeah, we're just silly like that. It's the worlds biggest singalong ... a Jersey houseparty with the best houseband in the land. If you don't get it, I can't explain it. :) ... Posted by geekbooks at August 20, 2003 08:51 PM |
