Kicking Back in the Run-In Shed
Run-in sheds are wonderfully versatile structures. Originally conceived as a cost-effective place to get the livestock out of the elements, these basic three-sided sheds have found many uses. The large open side can make for an inviting outdoor space for animals of the two-legged variety, whether you're using it for a backyard room or a road-side farm stand.

I couldn't resist snapping a photo of this handsome run-in shed at a local lot. Three rocking chairs and a table for the kids beckon for the family to take a break and kick back with a cool glass of iced tea or lemonade. The post construction, rugged board and batten siding, and beautiful cedar shake roof hearken back to simpler times and provide an ambiance unlike anything you'll find in a typical pre-manufactured shed.
