March 08, 2008Leaky Flat Shed RoofFlat roofs are bad mojo for sheds. Without a pitch for the water to run off, it's only a matter of time until a flat shed roof starts leaking ... Do you know the best way to do an A frame roof? The best bet might be to grab a set of inexpensive shed plans to crib the rafters. You can pick up the Jamaica Cottage Shop's free 8x10 shed plans when you sign up for their newsletter. When you rip off the old roof, be sure to address any rotted wood before you button things up. Once the new roof is in place, you can always do something a bit creative with the siding on the end walls. It might not be a bad idea to add a vent or two, as well.
