January 18, 2006Liverpool JerseyFaithful readers (all three of them) might remember the Liverpool jersey I won for a penny on eBay, long ago. "What the hey," I thought when I scored the shirt, "how many washes can it stand up to for just a measly cent?" But here it is, two years later, and my bargain Liverpool jersey is still going strong. Nevertheless, I'm digging through the current Liverpool replica jersey listings for a European Champions kit. The old jersey is of course, a bit worse for wear. I initially thought it would fall apart within weeks. It hasn't. But take a look at how crinkled the Carlsberg logo has become:

Poor bird. I keep it all in perspective. It's ratty yeah, but it couldn't have been cheaper. This time, however, I'm combing those listings for something with a good bit more quality. I'd think about getting something from the official club website, alas the shipping charges are high. I dream about tripping into something at a local Reebok outlet ...
