Loading Ramps, Pt. II

Loading ramps don't get any more inexpensive than this. I've been using this setup for seven years or so. I looked at a bunch of different ready-built loading ramps after I built the shed, but I couldn't beat the price.

Now I don't run a herd of elephants over the ramp on a daily basis -- just the tractor once a week and the tiller a few times during the season -- so it's held up fairly well.

The impromptu loading ramp isn't fastened to the structure in any way, shape, or form. I thought about adding a metal plate to the top side where it hits the floor, but that seemed like overkill. The key words here are fast and cheap (hey, it was scrap and all it took was one cut with the circular saw).

When this one finally goes, I'll build reinforcements into the underside of the replacement ramp. I acquired a set of aluminium truck ramp ends (they bolt to the ends of a 2x12) a few years back, so I might recycle those, as well.
