Orlando Vacation, Pt. I!

The Royal PacificThe gang just got back from an awesome Orlando vacation. We did the Universal thing this year, setting up camp at Lowes' fabulous Royal Pacific. By staying on the property, we were able to enjoy our Orlando vacation time immensely. Once the car was parked, it didn't have to move. We spent all of our time on the rides, not traveling to or from parking lots, or waiting in line ...

If you stay at the Royal Pacific, Portofino, or Hard Rock Hotel you can take a fast water taxi ride or walk from the hotel to the park entrance. And once you get in the park, you can jump to the front of the line at the attractions with Universal Express ride access.

Emerils Tchoup chopOf course, you pay for that pleasure. But this year's Orlando vacation was my darling bride's treat. And who was I to argue about her choice of fine hotels?

Dinner at Emeril's Tchoup Chop was one of the highlights of our stay.

Tiki maven that I am, there was no way could I resist the temptation to buy the custom Emeril tiki mug (manufactured by the Tiki Farm, of course) that surrounded that cool tropical concoctions I consumed that evening... wait ... what was the name of that drink?

Don't ask me, brother... it's all a blur.
