Photoshop Training

It's been seven years since I wrote The Photoshop Plug-ins Book for the late (but not so great) Ventana Press. While I've long thought about putting the entire contents of that book online, I've never had the chance to get around to it.

That time may come soon.

Speaking of Photoshop--since it's been a whopping seven years--it's time for me to come out with a new Photoshop-related title. This one ran under the radar for quite some time, but now that the listing has popped up in Amazon, tonight's the night to pull aside the curtain.

This one is more than just a book full of the same old Photoshop training materials, as it's more than just a Photoshop book. Not to build it up too much, but I consider this book to be the entry to a rapidly-developing category of illustration & design.

The working title is Creating Striking Graphics with Maya and Photoshop and it's slated to be published this spring by Alias Press/Sybex. While I'm not crazy about the working title, I am very crazy about the content. This is one cool book, kids ... one that I'm proud to be a piece of ...

Now I can't spill all the beans about the specific content just yet. But I can tell you that it's about the new world of cutting-edge artwork made possible through the use of Maya and Photoshop.

What's Maya, you ask?

Why perhaps the greatest 3D software ever known to man ...
