Resveratrol

Get ready for the next wonder drug. Studies from Harvard Medical School and the Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology in Illkirch, France show that Resveratrol, a component of red wine, have produced remarkable results in lab mice. Resveratrol dosed rodents were able to run twice their normal distance before keeling over with exhaustion.

Resveratrol promises an athletic performance improvement of 100 percent, increased energy, protection against degenerative diseases and an extended lifespan, to boot.

Is Resveratrol merely another coin tossed in the general direction of the fountain of youth?

Or is it something more?

One thing's for sure. Humans would have to consume remarkable amounts of Resveratrol in order to equal the dosage consumed by the furry lab testers.

You'll want to read this article on Resveratrol from the New York Times.

(Hey, it's not like we're citing the Weekly World News ...)
