Still Time to Build That Shed Before Winter

Fall is a great time to build a shed!

It seems like no matter how much garage storage space you have, you're always running short. Stuff just seems to collect in the garage, as if drawn by a giant magnet, with the end result being a hopelessly cluttered mess.

A garage cleanup is overdue once the calendar rolls around to November. While things might open up a bit once you've taken everything possible to the recycling depot and town dump (and an autumn garage sale might help, too), those days are numbered. Once the snow starts falling, you'll wish you had room in the garage to park your jalopy.

That's where the backyard storage shed shines like a beacon. Build one big enough and it will hide all of those treasures. A weekend's worth of sawing and hammering and you'll have all the space you need. Once it's closed in, you'll be able to finish off the interior over the winter (of course, that's if the shed's not completely and instantly filled with stuff).

If you're not up to building from scratch, take a look at some storage shed kits. The right shed kit will save hours of time and make you look like a pro.

And if you don't relish the thought of wielding a hammer, fret not. The season might work to your advantage. You might be able to wrangle a better deal on a ready made shed from a local lot. Some establishments will quote a competitive price in order to clear out their inventory before winter.
