Storage Shed Costs

"What will it cost me to have a shed built?" Over and over, the question comes up. Building a shed is an a la carte affair .. there's no set cost. Some builders may only quote the complete job, while others will provide a detailed breakdown of costs. Others may want to quote on the basis of square footage.

Take a look at the article, What's the Cost of Building a Shed? ... it offers a bit of insight into the factors involved. Much of this changes on a geographic basis ... it's a lot cheaper to build where lumber is plentiful and the labor rates are lower. Move to a fancy area far from the forests and everything costs more.

If you build it yourself and stay away from expensive materials, you might be able to bring in the project for less than $10 a square foot. Have someone do the job and get ready for the cost to double ... Keep in mind that time is money when labor is involved.
